Paramore
Originating from Franklin, Tennessee, is the rock band Paramore, whose members got together and solidified back in 2004. At that time, most of the members were in their early teens, but nevertheless shared a strong passion for music. After meeting through a home school program, vocalist Hayley Williams got together with brothers Josh and Zac Farro, joined by Jeremy Davis and later, Jason Bynum. The five-piece lineup was set, and though there were talks of a record deal with Atlantic, the band and managers thought their image would be better promoted at the label Fueled by Ramen. They wrote their first song together, entitled “Conspiracy”, which set the ball rolling for their debut album. Shortly before the release, Davis left, and was swiftly replaced by bass guitarist John Hembree.
The quintet released their album All We Know is Falling in 2005, which peaked at #30 on the Billboard Heatseekers list. After recording a number of music videos, appearing at Warped Tour, and going through another member change, Paramore released their second album Riot! in 2007, which sold just under 50,000 copies its first week in the U.S. and peaked at #20 on the Billboard 200. After the release of Brand New Eyes in 2009, they experienced more lineup changes, but did not let that hinder their success. Their much-awaited fourth album Paramore was released in 2013, and shot to #1 on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart. As of 2014, their lineup included Hayley Williams, original member Jeremy Davis, and Taylor York.
