Paty Cantú
Paty Cantu was born Patricia Giovanna Cantú Velasco on November 25, 1983, on Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. She was part of Lu, a duo that she formed with Mario Sandoval, a songwriter. They gained popularity in 2004 and produced the hit single “Por Besarte.”
She debuted as a solo artist in 2008 and produced the hit single “Dejame Ir” which landed on the Top Ten. She released an even bigger hit with the song “Dos Palabras” where she collaborated with Motel. She dropped Me Quedo Sola, her album debut, in 2009. The release made it to No. 3 of the Mexican charts.
Her next albums Afortunadamente No Eres Tú (2010) and Corazón Bipolar (2012) were also successful. She released the singles “Natural” (2017) featuring Juhn and “Cuenta Pendiente” (2018) featuring Alejandro Sanz.
