PJ Morton
PJ Morton, born Paul Morton Junior on March the 29th 1981 in New Orleans and is an American musician, singer, songwriter and record producer who worked primarily in R&B, pop, rock, soul and funk. Best known for working with Maroon 5 as a keyboardist and has contributed to much of the band’s work.
As a solo artist, Morton’s first album Emotions was released and remained under the radar until he released the most recent fourth album, Gumbo, which is described as having a strong New Orleans Motown sound that contains singles such as Sticking to My Guns, Claustrophobic and many other hits. The album won the artist two Grammy nominations in the R&B genre. In addition to this, he has worked with artist such as A.R. Rahman, LL Cool J and heather Headley.
