Pusha T

Rapper and songwriter Pusha T was born Terrence Thornton in the Bronx, New York, on May 13, 1977. He eventually moved with his family to Virginia, where he and his brother Gene got together to create the musical duo Clipse. Clipse signed a contract with Elektra Records in the later 1990s, through whom they released the album Exclusive Radio Footage. Pusha T and his brother Gene eventually began their own record label, which they titled Re-Up Records, but announced that they would be pursuing solo careers in 2009.

Pusha T was signed to GOOD Music in the fall of 2010, during which time he collaborated with artists such as Kanye West, Swizz Beats, and Lloyd Banks. 2011 saw the release of his mixtape Fear of God, followed by the EP Fear of God II: Let Us Pray, which sold just under 9,000 copies the week it was released. Pusha T then released the albums Cruel Summer in 2012 as well as My Name Is My Name in 2013.
