Reverend And The Makers
Coming from Sheffield, Yorkshire, England, Reverend and the Makers is an Indie dance rock band. The band was formed by Jon McClure, a vocalist and songwriter. Though offered with great sums of money by record labels to form a group that sounds like Arctic Monkeys which was McClure’s former band, he instead formed for his own the Reverend and The Makers.
Band members Tom Jarvis, Ed Cosens, Joe Moskow, Laura Manuel, Richy Westley, and Stuart Doughty joined McClure. They had their debut as opening act for the Arctic Monkeys in 2006. The band was then signed under “Wall of Sound” label. Their first single “Heavyweight Champion of the World” was released in 2007.
