Russell Westbrook
Russell Westbrook III was born on November 12, 1988 in Long Beach, California. He played for the University of California: Los Angeles during his college career. The team advanced to the Final Four every season Westbrook was on the team. In 2008, he was the 4th overall selection by the Seattle Supersonics in the NBA Draft. The Supersonics were later relocated to Oklahoma City and became the Thunder.
Westbrook played in two consecutive All-Star games and later had surgery on his right knee. In 2014, he had the NBA’s fastest triple double during a game against Philadelphia. In 2016, he signed a 3-year contract extension with the Thunder and then signed a five-year extension with them in 2017.
