Ryan Clark (Football)
Ryan Clark is a former American professional football player born in Marrero, Louisiana on October 12, 1979. Clark was a safety who played in the National Football League. He played football in high school at Archbishop Shaw High School in Marrero, Louisiana. He went on to play college football at Louisiana State University. In 1998 he was named LSU’s Special Teams Player of the Year. Clark was signed as an undrafted free agent by the New York Giants in 2002. He played for the Giants for two seasons, in 2002 and 2003. In 2004 he was signed with the Washington Redskins and played with them until 2005. He was singed as a free agent in 2006 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. During the 2008 season he became a Super Bowl Champion with the Steelers when they defeated the Arizona Cardinals in Super Bowl XLIII. In 2014 he became a free agent and returned to the Washington Redskins on a one-year contract. On February 18, 2015 he announced that he would retire from the NFL. He became an NFL analyst for ESPN in 2015 and regularly appears on the shows Sportscenter, First Take, NFL Live, and Mike & Mike.
