Sean Bean

Sean Bean was born on April 17, 1959, in Handsworth, South Yorkshire. His career started in London, after he graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 1983. His early roles include playing Romeo for the Royal Shakespeare Company, and appearing on television programs.

Bean is well-known for playing a villain, including his role as Bond villain Alec Trevelyan in GoldenEye (1995). He also starred as the villain opposite Harrison Ford in Patriot Games (1992) and in the Lord of the Rings trilogy as Boromir. He is also known for his role as Lord Eddard “Ned” Stark on the wildly popular show, Game of Thrones. Ned Stark was a central character in the first season of the show, but was killed off in the ninth episode of the season. Bean has since reprised the role throughout the series. It is said that Sean Bean’s characters have been killed off over 25 times throughout his career.
