Selena Gomez
Selena Gomez is an American singer, actress, and producer born in Grand Prairie, Texas on July 22, 1992. She is best known for starring in the show Wizards of Waverly Place and for her solo music career. Gomez made her debut on television at ten years old on the show Barney & Friends in 2002. She continued landing roles in the shows The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, Hannah Montana, Sonny With a Chance, and more. In 2003 she made her debut in film in the movie Sky Kids 3-D: Game Over and has since had roles in the films Another Cinderella Story, Ramona and Beezus, The Muppets, Getaway, In Dubious Battle, The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle and others. In 2008 she helped form the band Selena Gomez & the Scene. The band released three studio albums. They were together from 2008 to 2013 and sold over 5 million albums. They won 6 Teen Choice Awards, four Vevo Certified Awards, a People’s Choice Award, and an MTV Europe Music Award. In 2008 Gomez was signed to Hollywood Records as a solo artist and released her debut studio album in 2013 titled Stars Dance. In 2015 she released her second studio album titled Revival. Both of her studio albums charted at number one on the Billboard 200 albums chart and also charted in several other countries. She has sold over 23.3 million songs and 3.4 million albums in the United States and won numerous awards for her music.
