Shahid Kapoor

An Indian Actor who appears in Bollywood Films, Shahid Kapoor was born in New Delhi to actor parents. With a debut as a background dancer in several films, he made his film debut in Vishk, for which he won a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut.

He reached international stardom with the film Jab We Met, which cemented him as one of Bollywood’s top young romantic leads. This role in which he worked alongside Kareena Kapoor won him his second Filmfare Award.  His portrayal in the film Haider, a Bollywood remake of Hamlet earned him critical acclaim and alongside his portrayal of a drug troubled rock star in Udta Punjab broke the typecasting he had of a romantic lead. Most recently he played Rawal Ratan Singh in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat, another critical success.
