Shane Harper

Actor, singer-songwriter and dancer Shane Harper was born Shane Steven Harper on February 14, 1993 in La Jolla, California. His family moved to Orange County when he was five and Harper became involved in community theatre and competitive dance while also singing in the church choir and learning to play the acoustic guitar. His sister Samantha is also a dancer and his brother Sullivan is a model.

In 2006, an agent spotted Harper at a dance competition and offered to represent him. He appeared on episodes of Zoey 101 and Wizards of Waverly Place before landing the role of Spencer Walsh on Good Luck, Charlie where he co-starred with his now real-life girlfriend Bridget Mendler. In 2011, he released his self-titled debut album which contained the songs “Dance With Me” and “One Step Closer.” He opened for Greyson Chance and Cody Simpson on their “Waiting 4U” tour and for Miranda Cosgrove on her “Dancing Crazy” tour.

In 2014, Shane Harper appeared in his first starring film role in God’s Not Dead yet he also co-starred on Happyland and MTV’s Awkward. He can next be seen in the film Dance-Off with Kathryn McCormick.
