Shawn Mendes

Shawn Mendes, born Shaun Peter Raul Mendes on August the 8th 1998 in Toronto, is a Canadian singer and songwriter. With a career that began on social media, Mendes had a strong fan following on the application, Vine, soon after he found himself with a record deal at the age of fifteen and released his debut EP in 2014 and soon followed it up with his debut album, Handwritten, from which the lead single titled Stitches hit the top ten in the US and Canada and number one in the UK.

Riding the success of his debut album, Mendes then released a second album, Illuminate, which contained the singles, Treat You Better and There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back, both albums debuted high in the US charts and in his young career Mendes has been nominated for an incredible 134 nominations and 40 wins so far.
