Sleigh Bells
Sleigh Bells is an American rock and noise pop duo based out of Brooklyn, New York. The band formed in 2008 and consists of Alex Krauss and Derek Miller. Miller was a former guitarist for hardcore punk band Poison the Well. Alex also had experience, performing in the teen pop band called RubyBlue.
The duo began writing and performing together at the CMJ Music Marathon in 2009. They were signed to N.E.E.T. Recordings and Mom + Pop Music in 2010. They released their self-titled EP in 2010 and gained the attention of The Guardian, The New York Times, and ABC News. In 2011 Sleigh Bells released their debut album entitled Treats.
In 2012 the band released their second album called Reign of Terror. The duo then embarked on a U.S. tour. The group then followed up in 2014 with the album called Bitter Rivals and was inspired by the music of Janet Jackson and Beyonce. In 2015 Sleigh Bells released their fourth studio album called Jessica Rabbit and a mini-album in 2017 called Kid Kruschev.
