Sorabh Pant
Sorabh Pant is an Indian comedian born in Mumbai, India on September 14, 1981. He is best known for comedy specials Pants on Fire and Traveling Pants and is one of the most successful stand-up comedians in India. He started his career in entertainment as a television writer. In 2008 he met Vir Das and they did a show together titled News on The Loose. He got into comedy later that year opening for Vir Das’s show Walking on Broken Das. He has since released his two comedy specials Pants on Fire and Traveling Pants. In 2011 he released his first book titled The Wednesday Soul which is a comedic take on how life is after death. He followed that up with his second novel Under Delhi. In 2012 founded his own comedy company named The East India Comedy and recruited influential comedians from India, including Azeem Banatwalla, Atul Khatri, Sapan Verma, among others. The company put on 130 shows across India in 2013.
