St. Paul Peterson
St. Paul Peterson, born Paul Joseph Peterson on October 18th, 1964 in Minneapolis, Minnesota is an American singer and musician. He grew up in a musical family and was discovered by Prince in 1983. He became a backup keyboardist for Prince’s band The Time and appeared in the movie Purple Rain.
After The Time’s breakup in 1984, Prince formed the remaining members into the band The Family. Paul became the lead singer. In 1987 he left to pursue a solo career and released his debut album called St.Paul. He signed to Atlantic Records in the 90s and released two studio albums in that time called Down to the Wire and Blue Cadillac.
He also performed with his family as a group called the Petersons. They released 4 albums from 1997 to 2003 called: A Child is Born, Live at the Quest, My Calendar, and A Compilation. His latest solo effort came in the form of 2004s Everything.
