Super Furry Animals
Super Furry Animals are a Welsh rock band formed in Cardiff, Wales in 1993. The members of the band are Gruff Rhys on lead vocals and guitar, Huw Bunford on guitar, Guto Pryce on bass guitar, Cian Ciaran on keyboards and synthesizers, and Dafydd Ieuan on drums. The name of the band came from a line of T-Shirts Gruff Rhys’ sister was making for the fashion and music collective Acid Casuals. They released their debut EP in 1995 titled Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch (In Space) and have since released the EPs Moon Droog, Ice Hockey Hair and Slow Life. In 1996 they released their debut studio album titled Fuzzy Logic and have also released the albums Radiator, Guerrilla, Mwng, Rings Around the World, Phantom Power, Love Kraft, Hey Venus!, and Dark Days/Light Years. They have also released four compilation albums and three video albums. All nine of their studio albums have charted in the top 25 on the UK Albums chart. One of their albums has been certified gold and four have been certified silver by the BPI.
