The Pogues
The Pogues is an alternative band which was formed in Kings Cross, London, England in 1982. Shane MacGowan was the frontman of the band when it was established.
The band’s debut album, Red Roses for Me, was released in 1984. In 1987, the band released the single Fairytale of New York. Another album, Rum Sodomy & the Lash was released a year after. In 1988, a new album If I Should Fall from Grace with God dropped, this was followed by Peace and Love the year after and another album, Hell’s Ditch in 1990. The Pogues released another album, Waiting for Herb, three years later and it took another three years for the band to release Pogue Mahone (1996) which includes the track “Love You ‘Till the End.”
