Tommy Trash
Born Thomas Olsen on November 15, 1979, in Budaberg, Queensland, Australia, Tommy Trash is a DJ and remixer, and has made a name for himself within the electro house and dance music genres. His career began in 2006, when he set the dance floors of Australia ablaze with his original productions as well as his remixes. In 2010, he released a collaboration piece with Tom Piper and Mr. Wilson, entitled All My Friends. Yet it was not until the release of his song “The End” that he reached the level of fame akin to that of Tiesto, David Guetta, and Afrojack. After calling attention to himself as a serious artist, Tommy began creating remixes for Deadmau5, Swedish House Maafia, Zedd, Steve Aoki, and countless others.
In 2012, Tommy was nominated at the Grammy Awards for one of the remixes he had done of a Deadmau5 song, entitled “The Veldt”. Since 2007, he has released dozens of singles, many of them collaborations with fellow DJs, and was signed to the Ministry of Sound Australia, the largest independent dance label in Australia. 2013 saw his budding residency at Hakkasan nightclub in Las Vegas, as well as his many appearances at some of the biggest house and electronic music festivals in the world.
