Trippie Redd
Trippie Redd, born as Michael White on June 18th, 1999 in Canton, Ohio began taking an interest in music as a young child. His mother would often play artists like Tupac, Beyoncé, Ashanti, and Nas in his home. He later expanded his musical influences to include T-Pain, KISS, Lil Wayne, and Marilyn Manson. His other stage moniker is Lil 14.
In 2015 he began to release his music online to carry on his brother’s dream of becoming a rapper. He recorded the tracks “Awakening My Inner Beast,” “Beast Mode,” and “Rock the World Trippie” with Lil Wop which garnered him national attention. He then signed to the Strange Entertainment label off those tracks success.
Trippie released his debut mixtape in 2017 called A Love Letter To You. The single “Love Scars/You Hurt Me” has garnered over 8 million views on YouTube. The track also has over 13 million plays on SoundCloud. XXXTENTACION featured Trippie Redd on his single “Fuck Love” which broke into the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100.
