Wes Ball
Wes Ball was born on October 28, 1980 in the United States. In 2002, he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Florida State University’s College of Motion Picture Arts. During his time there, he won the Best Student Film at the Florida Film Festival as well as a Student Academy Award for his animation abilities. He specializes in directing, visual effects, and graphic art. As a director, he started by working on shorts such as Jacob: The Movie (2002), A Work in Progress (2002), and Ruin (2011). He got his first directorial opportunity on a feature film in 2014 with The Maze Runner. He went on to direct its sequel, Maze Runner: Scorch Trials in 2015, and is also set to direct the third installment, Maze Runner: The Death Cure in 2018. In the art department, he worked on the graphics for several video documentaries for the Star Trek series in 2009.
