The band yMusic plays classical and pop hybrid music. The members are Rob Moose, Nadia Sirota, Clarice Jensen, Alex Sopp, Hideaki Aomori, and CJ Camerieri. The band originated from New York City, where the members incorporate violin, cello, flute, viola, trumpet, and clarinet. They have performed alongside Dirty Projectors, the National, Bon Iver, St. Vincent, and My Brightest Diamond.

yMusic’s debut album “Beautiful Mechanical” was released in 2011 under New Amsterdam Records. It won Time Out New York’s #1 Classical Record of the Year. Other releases were “Richard Reed Parry: Music for Heart and Breath” and “Balance Problems” followed in 2014.
